HISTOIRE

Polychrome est un projet musical initié par deux frères, Simon et Maxime Senizergues.

Polychrome is a musical project imagined by two brothers, Simon & Maxime Senizergues. Having grown up in France in an artistic environment, they both received classical training. They quickly developed a deep passion for their respective instruments, piano and guitar. One continued his classical training at the Paris Conservatory (CNSM) while the other pursued jazz at the American School of Modern Music. Their close artistic bond naturally led them to create their own music together, drawing on inspirations ranging from rock to classical music and jazz.

Lulled in their youth by the Beatles albums, their main influences come from British seventies’ progressive rock including Pink Floyd and King Crimson, unclassified artists such as Robert Wyatt or XTC, as well as from Steve Reich’s American minimalist music.

Now joined by Omar Nicho, Sergio Santiago, and Loïck Tournois, Polychrome expresses its full potential through a dreamlike, aesthetic, organic, and inventive musical language. The band’s sound could be summed up as follows: airy keyboard harmonies, an ongoing dialogue between the two guitars, sharp and intricate writing from the bass/drums duo, all uplifted by instinctive melodies sung by voices with complementary timbres.

With their debut album Equilibrium (2022), they delivered a work where psychedelia and lyricism intertwine. The press praised “an impeccable instrumental achievement” (Prog Critique) and “a powerful work infused with the essence of great progressive music” (Highlands Magazine). According to Progressive Rock Central (USA), Polychrome “can bring back the sounds of some 70s seminal bands, while at the same time produce some of the most unique new prog.”

Their second album, Someday, released in 2026, showcases “a shifting, varied, atmospheric prog” with “excellent musicianship” (New Wave of British Heavy Metal), firmly establishing Polychrome as a “commanding presence in contemporary progressive rock“ (Progressive Rock Journal).
